Participants will engage in two specific strategies to develop comprehension as part of a literacy routine. The strategies are based on John Seidlitz's work which are high impact strategies that help differentiate and scaffold language instruction for ELs. They were designed to be used as a Sheltered Instruction model across all disciplines in grades PK - 12th. They can be used daily to engage all students in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking in every classroom.
